Julia Warren
Cathedral Intern
Julia Warren is a rising second-year student at Yale Divinity School and Berkeley Divinity School. She comes to Connecticut all the way from Los Angeles where she has been involved in youth and young adult programming, as well as a variety of music ministries through the Episcopal church. An East Coast native, Julia grew up in Northern Virginia and then relocated to Chapel Hill, NC where she attended the University of North Carolina. She moved to California in 2016 to start work as a lighting designer in the themed entertainment industry. Julia is now in the process of being ordained to the priesthood in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles and is currently working towards her Master of Divinity. Julia brings with her a background in Episcopal summer camp ministry, enthusiasm for creative liturgy, and a desire to learn as much as she can during her time in New England. She is excited to be joining the Christ Church Cathedral community in September!
Cindy Hursty
Accountant/Office Manager
The Accountant oversees and implements accounting- related processes such as, but not limited to, accounts payable, recording cash receipts, preparing financials and donor statements, aiding in preparing annual budget, and acting as liaison with auditors. This position works closely with the Cathedral Treasurer and Cathedral Dean. Additionally, Cindy's responsibilities extends to the supervision of staff managing the buildings, grounds and security of the Cathedral.
Marianne Vogel
Director of Music
Marianne Vogel holds a Bachelor of Music in music theory from the University of Connecticut and studied organ with David Spicer for over ten years, eventually becoming his assistant at the First Church of Christ in Wethersfield, CT, where she was associate organist for four years. She is a Colleague with the American Guild of Organists, and has served congregational churches in Broad Brook, Hebron and Coventry, as well as the First United Methodist Church in Middletown, CT. Marianne is also a violinist, and worked towards a graduate performance certificate on that instrument at the Hartt School of Music. She currently plays with the West End String Quartet, various orchestral groups in Connecticut, and is a performer and music coordinator for the Golden Scroll Soloists, a busy string ensemble that provides live musicians for events throughout New England.
Gregory Simmons
Assistant to The Dean/Event Coordinator
The Assistant to the Dean provides administrative support to the Dean in matters of logistics, communications and liturgy. Additionally, this position provides administrative assistance and support to the Dean in our efforts as the Cathedral becomes a resource for apostleship in the Episcopal Church of Connecticut and in the city of Hartford. Gregory comes to Hartford from Portland, OR, via Worcester, UK, where she recently spent two years in an Anglican Benedictine abbey. She is a founding member of Haven Community, an emerging Episcopal religious community in ECCT. In addition to her work at the Cathedral, Gregory is a Godly Play storyteller and chaplain assistant at Seabury Life Community, an Episcopal retirement community in Bloomfield, CT. Having grown up in Portland’s cathedral choir, she also sings in the Grace Church choir in Parkville and serves as the cantor for Seabury’s Sunday Eucharists. In her spare time, she enjoys tabletop role-playing games, computer programming, and British detective television shows.
Sean Glenn
Office Assistant
Sean Glenn, a composer and native of the Pacific Northwest, comes to us after a 13 year season in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts (the last six years of which were spent as a lay brother of the Society of Saint John the Evangelist). Sean has completed degrees in music and theology and is passionate about liturgy, preaching, retreat-leading, sacred music, and the religious life. He comes to Hartford to begin a new chapter in a new diocese and a new community—Haven, Hartford. He looks forward to being of service to the Christ Church Cathedral community and their mission.

Media Coordinator
The media coordinator handles all creation of Cathedral flyers, posters, etc. They also handle our multi media platforms.
David Borawski
Building Manager
This position is responsible for oversight and management of the buildings and grounds of Christ Church Cathedral.

Spanish Music Coordinator
The Spanish Music Coordinators develop and coordinate the Latino/ Hispanic Music Ministry of the Cathedral’s Spanish- speaking congregation, working in consultation with the Cathedral’s Music Director and the Dean. They function as primary musicians for the Spanish-speaking service.
