RBH head shot 2

Rebekah has had the privilege of working as Rector of St. Alban’s, Simsbury, since 2015 while also working as Dean of Formation for ECCT for the last two and half years. While working in Simsbury, she also became one of the original members of the Simsbury DEI Council, a town-appointed group committed to a more inclusive community. Also, in ECCT, Rebekah has served as the Seabury Canon to Aberdeen and Orkney, worked as a transition consultant with parishes, co-facilitated ECCT’s Recently Ordained Clergy group, served on the North Central Region leadership team, and has been part of our General Convention team. Her ordained ministry has given her the opportunity to work alongside God’s people in parishes and in schools, designing and implementing curriculum and other opportunities for formation in a variety of settings. Rebekah is a co-founder of the Small Churches Big Impact Collective, which works to connect small church leaders through monthly virtual gatherings and a podcast; and to amplify the experience of smaller congregations and their leaders. Driving her ministry is a desire for all of us to lean more into the connection to God we were all created with, and to empower one another in following Jesus – whatever that looks like for each of us! Rebekah shares her life and living space with her spouse, Tony, and their children: a one-eyed cat, Ziggy; one piano, an accordion, three guitars, a violin, and a homemade banjo.
