The Friends of Christ Church Cathedral proudly presents Cathedral Concerts for 2010-2011, adding to the cultural fabric of the City of Hartford and the surrounding capital region. Concerts this year include the first Thursday series, “Lunch...Plus!”, which begins on Thursday, October 7, at 12:15 p.m. in the Cathedral House Auditorium; weekly Midday Organ Recitals, which began on Tuesday, September 14, at 12:35 p.m. in the Cathedral; Choral Evensong on various Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. and Sundays at 3:30 p.m.; and the Music in Liturgy series throughout the year. Thursdays, at 12:15, donations accepted. Lunch...Plus! goes brown bag this year. Bring your own lunch or stop by the Church & Main Delicatessen (20 Church Street) and pick-up the “Lunch...Plus! Special”.

Canon Precentor Kevin Jones introduces the Lunch...Plus! audience to the new mechanical action organ in the Cathedral House Auditorium Balcony given to the Cathedral by St. James Church.

If you are a performing artist, and would like to be considered for the Lunch...Plus! series, please contact Kevin Jones, Canon Precentor & Director of Music, via regular mail at the Cathedral street address. Include in your letter a proposed program (no more than 40 minutes in length), a recent CD recording, and a press packet. Please note that packets and CDs cannot be returned, and that the series is booked approximately one year in advance. Thank you for your interest!
